Brandon’s Knitting Patterns from Vogue Knitting
“I love showing how colours harmonise, how much you need to tickle a shade to bring the picture to life. But above all – how to look, look really well at something”.
Brandon’s collection of knitted garments for Vogue Knitting are featured in ‘THE EDIT’, curated pattern e-booklets from Vogue Knitting magazine. Each e-booklet is a selection of patterns from their archive, carefully chosen to inspire your next knitting project.
BRANDON MABLY DESIGNS is a collection of graphic designs that are interpretations of colors and patterns inspired by Brandon’s extensive travels around the world. Bold stripes and animal prints in easy-wearing silhouettes are the foundation for these striking looks.
Brandon has been interested in colour and design since he was young and according to author/designer and mentor Kaffe Fassett, has “one of the sharpest eyes for style” that he has ever come across.
For more than 20 years Brandon has managed the Kaffe Fassett Studio as well as designing fabric for FreeSpirit Fabric’s Kaffe Fassett Collective and being a regular contributor to Rowan Knitting and Vogue Knitting, among others. He has authored a number of knitting books including Brilliant Knits, Knitting Color and Knitting with the Color Guys with Kaffe Fassett.
An inspiring and enthusiastic teacher, Brandon began travelling the world with Fassett teaching workshops. Exotic locales such as Africa, Iceland, Guatemala, and India filled his designer’s eye with inspiration and an explosion of colour and pattern. Brandon teaches knitters and quilters to embrace colour and use it to greatest effect.
